Your role

WOLF

Blend in. Get a villager voted out before anyone works out it is you.

What actually happens

Werewolf, without the narrator headache.

Twelve people in a circle, each looking at their own phone. Three are Wolves. One is Romeo, one is Juliet. Everyone else is a Villager. Nobody knows anything except their own card.

Round one, the room debates. Five minutes of accusations later you open the vote. Everyone taps a name on their phone, you watch the tally come in, and the top-voted person is out.

Sometimes a Wolf goes down. Sometimes it is Juliet, and Romeo silently falls beside her, and the room reels. Next round starts with one fewer suspect and considerably more suspicion.

How to play

  1. 1

    The host picks how many Wolves to deal, whether Romeo and Juliet play, and whether a player's role is shown when they go out. Then the host deals secret role cards: tap yours to peek, and tap again to hide it.

  2. 2

    Each round starts at night: everyone closes their eyes, the Wolves silently point at a player, and the host takes that player out.

  3. 3

    Then the village wakes up and talks it out. Vote on your device for who you think is a Wolf. You can change your vote until the host calls it.

  4. 4

    The player with the most votes is out. On a tie for the top, nobody goes out and everyone votes again. If Romeo or Juliet goes out, their partner goes too.

How to win

Villagers win when every Wolf is out. Wolves win when they equal or outnumber the Villagers still in. The game ends itself the moment a side wins, and everyone on that side scores 1000, whether they are still in or not.

While you host

Lead the village through the debate.

The live tally shows where suspicion is landing. Let suspects respond, then use Eliminate with the displayed name to remove the leading suspect and clear votes for the next round.

Roles stay secret, even from you.

The host screen never shows who holds which role, so it is safe to share. A role appears only when its player is out, if you chose to reveal roles, and every role shows once a side has won.

Watch the remaining Wolves and Villagers on the dashboard. The game ends itself the moment a side has won, reveals every role, and Finish Game takes you to the podium.

Set the scene for suspicion.

In the room

Arrange a circle so players can see each speaker. Agree that eliminated players will watch quietly without helping either side.

On a video call

Ask players to use recognisable names in the call and game. Give each accused player a turn to respond before voting ends.

With a mixed group

Make sure remote players hear every defence. For the night, arrange a private way for Wolves to tell the host their choice.

What do Romeo and Juliet change?
With seven or more players, two players are secretly linked. If either is eliminated, the other is eliminated too. Each keeps their Wolf or Villager allegiance, so the pair can belong to different sides.
How many Wolves are dealt?
Neegma assigns two Wolves with five to eight players and three with nine or more. Roles stay the same between votes; eliminated players leave the discussion and voting.
How does the night work?
Every round starts at night. Everyone closes their eyes, the Wolves silently point at a target, and the host taps Take Someone Out to remove that player. Then the village wakes up, talks and votes.
Can we deal fresh roles for a rematch?
Yes. Re-Deal Cards assigns new roles and clears the current votes and eliminations. Use it to start again with the group; ordinary votes keep the existing roles in place.
How do players join?
Start a session and share its link or QR code. Players scan it or tap it, type a name, and they're straight in the lobby, no app to install and no account needed, whether they're next to you or dialled in from across the world. The joining guide covers team selection and what guests see next.

No, Villagers and Wolves is played and scored by individual players, not teams, because each player holds a private role only they can see.
What happens if someone loses connection?
In most games, reopening the same browser tab on the same device and selecting Rejoin drops a player straight back into their round, score and place, no waiting on the rest of the room. A different browser or device can be treated as a new player, and exactly what carries over depends on the game. The reconnecting guide covers the details.
How many people can play, and is it free?
